Things are changing and soon you may no longer have the freedom of privacy in your own home using a computer.
Remember how you used to be able to download just about anything you wanted, it was there you just did a search and bam there is was free, but now things have changed, in fact there are a lot of people that have gone to jail, some rightfully so, others perhaps not, but one thing is for sure, if you are illegally downloading software or music online you could get into a lot of trouble.
In the world of software, in order to make it work you have to download it or you have to use a CD or DVD, to install the software.
These days, it is not always safe to just download software from the internet in fact if you download a program that is shareware there is a good chance that you may be exposing your computer to security issues.
Reducing the risk of encountering Mal Ware.
There are a number of things you can do to reduce the risk, one of the best ways is to use only trusted download sources. Even then you may not be entirely sure however, one thing to remember, if it is trial limited, statistically you run a higher risk of getting what they call Mal ware, or software that is designed to do bad things to you or your computer.
Sometimes you may feel tempted to download a software package because you may not be able to afford it however often there is a very bad payload at the other end of that offer of what may look like free software but actually it is not free there is almost always a payment due at the end of such a transaction.
The best thing to do is to avoid downloading software where you “know” you should not be trying to obtain paid software for free, you know its true, so avoid it and you will be much better off.
Besides most of the time there are free alternatives to just about any program out there.
