Googles new Search Engine

Do you like the new Google?

Well once again we have a change in the works that hopefully will improve the embattled Search Engine Giant which has over the last few months been the subject of quite a lot of negative public relations chatter.

After doing some research I found that the search results were providing some very low value and often yes Spammy search results often containing a high number of Google Adsense advertising and very little content.

What will this mean to the thousands of publishers that play by the rules, hopefully they will see an increase in search engine traffic but allegedly google is playing a dangerous see saw game of hide and seek, with its corporate advertisers at the top of every search result, it is hard to find the hard data that your looking for, that is a big problem for just about every search engine out there not to mention Google.

Still, will this really work or will it yet backfire once again?

It remains to be seen one thing for sure, if your not playing by the rules eventually your going to pay a price, but how do you know what the rules are if they change so often and without any advance notice that you are unprepared for those changes?

It seems as if Google is lost in translation here, both in the larger market for consumers and in the market for advertisers.

Back when it was two guys who had a dream they made come true it was a great thing but sadly something changed.

Something is vastly different about Google and that is what many consumers are finding out about Google, it is no longer what it once was as a company, the sheer number of disaffected and down right angry youth, who have been turned off toward google and its products is devastating to the search engine giant.

When you value the advertiser over the consumer its a no win situation and until google realizes that very basic fact, they are not going to improve their services, its not rocket science, publishers, have the consumer base, and if you treat your publishers like trash, you will pay a price for that.

URL Marketing

Creative marketing is all the rage these days but do these really work or are they just another way to get your money…

Developing an SEO strategy that works…

Tracking data on websites, can be easy and hard at the same time, over the last few months we have been tracking what might be considered to some at least to be an un-natural event in google analytics, at least we have observed data that seems to be only counting original IP address hits, and not counting return hits from the same IP address. This is concerning since for many webmasters, repeat business is something that everyone should strive to get in a good web presence.

Developing traffic in these days can be a difficult experience, however, divergent IP addresses can help you in many ways that you may not have previously considered. Did you know that IP addresses are a very powerful tool in marketing. You can you use unique IP addresses to raise the value of your website?

What is it and how can it help you grow your website traffic stats. Unique, IP addresses, yes, that is what URL marketing is all about, because having a unique IP address makes a difference. Learn. How operating your own website can be a challenge and how marketing is the solution and the answer to the success of your website.

The key to getting more traffic is getting traffic?

Which gives you the catch 22, how can you get more traffic if you need traffic first in order to get more traffic. So how can you have your cake and eat it too, well as the old saying goes you can’t have your cake and eat it too, right, well perhaps not, but you can have your traffic and get more of it too. Unique traffic counts for more than you know, not just because each hit is counted as a separate hit but because the more unique hits you get the better you look to larger websites. Does that make sense?

The more unique traffic you have the better results you will get, the more unique traffic you get the more larger search engines, will index and give your website more links. See how this can work in your favor?

Keyword traffic

Search engines, distribute traffic, keywords define how that traffic is distributed along with a quality factor, and other factors.

How do you get traffic to your websites?

Do you use SEO methods?

Do you spend hours of your time?

Developing traffic is all about using keywords and writing good clean content.

There are a number of possible research methods when developing keyword topics.

keyword traffic estimator is a method of making an educated guess at how much traffic a particular keyword might have.

In fact the market for keywords is a very expensive one from as high as $8 to 15 dollars per keyword and up, it is hard to imagine just how much money some of these companies charge for thier products.  For example we asked a well known company for a quote on keyword access this is just access to a database, and they said, that they could provide that access for $800.00 US Plus a surcharge that would apply for addational calls to the database, now imagine that they are actually using Amazon Web Services, to provide the through put for this service, given the likely cost of the service which is about $78.00 per month, the idea of charging $800.00 per month, is not only marginally insulting but amazing.

Do not get ripped off, by companies that are trying to find a meal ticket.

We are not against the idea of someone making a profit but this is realy crazy.

It really does pay to shop around because we found a much better service, for much less, in fact the level of data that they provide is just nothing short of amazing.

Visit them here because you just have to see this data it is just that good.

Learning about keywords is just part of what you really need to understand about succeeding online.

Web deployment

Deploying to the web is a risky business at least in some situations.

In many ways, the idea of deploying on the web has changed over time, with so many browsers fighting for market share like unruly brothers and sisters or puppies if you will.

This constant development and cycles which cause massive headaches for many different vendors, should stop, however that is not likely to happen, web deployment is something that is gaining in popularity not only because it is something that we need but because there are so many apps that exist on mobile devices that consumers are finding it difficult to manage the massive number of apps that perhaps are not well managed, or do not close, or eat up processing power, or cause the batteries to fail.

Perhaps Steve was right perhaps apps do cause more harm if they are not managed correctly.

Why it makes more sense to deploy to the web…

There are many very good reasons to use a deployment for certain operations that are not related to hard data, the number one consideration should be network congestion, that is the biggest problem for many companies, congestion causes lost hours in production, creates over time, causes frustration for clients and consumers alike.

It only makes sense to manage non sensitive deployments this way because you can release those resources that were being “hogged up” by non essential application and move the resources where they really need to be used.

Providing solutions that relive the clients problems is paramount, it only makes sense to use a better method of distribution. That method is increasingly a web only deployment, if your organization is frustrated by obsolete software which fails to provide the kind of productivity you really need consider the option of using an added internal or external network that can both relieve the congestion and provide a better end user experience.

Analyst for the Small Business

The trouble with small business is that sometimes its hard to figure out what is going on in life, more so when you find that your time is limited by the number of hours in a day.

Could you think your way out of a problem if you did not know nor had you any experience with the problem?

They used to call this consulting, but in our experience most small business owners do not listen to advice at all. Which is why they really need advice, more so when you have a rough and tumble economy like we have now.

Small business owners may not think they need a business analyst.

One of the most important things you can do for your small business is to create and generate a plan that works time after time. Small businesses are sometimes caught up in trying to survive and overlook a key element in their success.

The business analyst can actually come in and determine what the small business owner can do to expand his or her business. The small business owner can benefit just as much from a business analyst as a large corporation. There may be times when the business analyst sees the big picture when the small business owner can only see the bottom line.

The new small business may not feel the added expense of a business analyst is worth justifying. In fact this is just the case. The small business can benefit from the business analyst in many ways. The business analyst may be able to offer an unforeseen income generating avenue.

Advertising techniques the small business is using may be proving fruitless. The business analyst may be able to implement Bluetooth advertising. The small business could target specific clients instead of a general population with his or her advertising dollar.

The business analyst may be able to suggest point of sale income not thought of by the small business owner. Other elements the business analyst could suggest would be repackaging in different sizes, where appropriate. Offering complimenting sales items may have not occurred to the small business owner.

The business analyst is there to show a different perspective. The business analyst will be able to assess the small business and determine what business decisions should be made. He or she can instruct the small business owner of new programs available. The business analyst will be able to offer advice as to new technology the small business owner is not taking advantage of.

The small business is able to be aided in several ways by the business analyst. The business analyst is a visionary. He or she can show the small business how to implement innovative business techniques. These techniques may have never been before thought of by the small business owner.

The business analyst can view the broad scope of things to determine a need by the customer. The small business owner may have no idea these areas of opportunity exist. It is up to the business analyst to show the small business what will work and what will not work for the business. Building profits and customer relations are the two key components that make up what the small business is focused upon.

A good business analyst will be able to integrate these key elements into a plan of action for the small business. The business analyst can act as the liaison between the small business and the customer to determine if the needs of the customer are being met. A report can then be generated to determine how the small business can use this information.

The small business and it’s customers can benefit from the knowledge a business analyst brings to the table. The added expense of a business analyst can significantly raise the profits of a small business. It is worth researching whether a business analyst will be able to use his or her skills when it comes to a small business.

Developing software

Writing software, creating software can help build your business.

building software is a process that you can follow using a set check list, however that is only a part of the entire process.

Software use in many small business companies is on the rise and it is being supplied from the traditional outlets either. One of the most interesting aspects of this modern technologically world we live in is that the old time supplies such as Microsoft and even apple seem to be moving to the back of the bus so to speak.

types of software and how they work.

With so many open source options available today why would a small business company spend so much money on a software solution that perhaps may not be as popular or even as effective as some of the open source solutions out there. A great point in case is this hotel that I am not staying in yesterday they lost several hundreds in profits because they purchased some software from a vendor and that vendor let them down, they were unable to process any payments, they had customers standing in line waiting for the opportunity to do business with them.

A retailers nightmare…

This is a business nightmare when you cannot generate revenue and you have bills that come in month after month then you know that you cannot afford to loose money… In this very challenging economy a business cannot afford to make these kinds of mistakes… The thing is this company allegedly paid like $8000.00 to a vendor and ended up loosing money because of all the problems that the software caused that business then ended up allegedly moving to an open source solution.

So, the old methods of using software vendors may not always be a good method of creating revenue.

FTC no tracking?

Is this the end of Affiliate Marketing…

Ok, it could be something to consider, the FTC seems to want to take an interest in how the internet works. DNT could stand for do not track which would in effect put many thousands of websites out of business along with the ad networks that support them. Some people have to wonder, about the idea that could cause millions of dollars in damages and other issues for vendors and website owners. So what would happen if websites just started posting a splash screen that states, Hi, thank you for your interest in our website however it appears that you have elected to turn off cookies, at this time sadly we have to deny you access based on your browser settings, have a nice day now I am sure you will find some website somewhere, to get the information you want, Hey how about trying the FTC and see if they can help you out? See how crazy it could get, well that might happen soon, simply because the FTC is sticking its big nose where it does not belong.

WordPress Blog Comment Spam

Do comments that are off topic do any good at all?

Ok this is a tough topic, because for the most part, Comment spam is not only offensive, but abusive, but what if it could be made to be productive?

Ok stay with me for a moment, while I take you through the comment spamming process.

The idea is to advertise a URL, by commenting on a comment, I know sounds sort of scary, but there are software products that people use from a desktop or even from a website, so what is happening is that no one is really reading your blog post, and that is problematic, you want people to read it, but what if some people read the blog post because it has comments?

What then? If you stop all comment spam, then that reduces the number of hits your website gets, right?

Technically, but what if you could make use of that automatic software? Is there a benefit to be had from these automatic software posters? Perhaps, there is and in more ways than one. Here is an excerpt from an article about comment spam, “One of the most serious problems with any blogging system, including WordPress, is that the comments area is wide open to that scourge of the Internet, spammers. In this case, it’s comment spam.

Comment spam is created by people seeking to boost their Google rankings by having lots of links pointing to their own websites. This causes a wide variety of problems:” Now, here is the thing, they are right, to a point, but if you cant beat them or defeat them, how about turning the tables on them? I began to think about how you could make the comment spam into real benefits for a website and I came up with a couple of good things.

1. a ping is a ping,

2. comments are comments, well most of the time they are. What I realized is that if I designed a plugin that would allow a comment for say a certain period of time and if during that time someone confirmed that the comment was a real comment, then it would get posted, with a do follow link and if it was not confirmed, by a real person then it just gets deleted. This way if they are good comments then you and they get a benefit, but if they are robots, or just not real people then you turn the tables on them and you get the only benefit, and that is a ping…

Get it, Good, because while you may not be able to stop it you may be able to take advantage of it.

Productive wordpress plugins

How do you define productivity?

If you could save just 10 minutes per day how much time could you devote to things you really want to do every day?

when you study how much time it takes to do a task, such as typing, or posting to a blog you know after a while about how much time you need to have in order to maintain a website every day.

So how do you save time?

Getting the most work done in the least amount of time is that productive?

Yes, it is, because work is work and getting the job done faster is something that can help you get your blog noticed faster.

Tools you can use

Imagine for a moment that you have a job to do and in order to do that job you have two choices,

1. You do it yourself and it takes you two weeks to get the job done.

2. You buy a tool to help you get the job done in three days and take the rest of the week off.

Now in some cases you may find that the option you choose depends on how much time and money you have.
